There are many different free email accounts that are available such as those that end in hotmail.com, yahoo.com, msn.com, etc. Blogger is owned by Google, so to use this tool you need to have a Gmail.com email account.
If you already have a Gmail account you can use that email to set up your blog. However, depending on how much email you use, you MAY want to set up a separate Gmail account that you will use only for the blog.
To set up a GMAIL account, go to Gmail.com and follow the prompts.
